Thank
you is not enough to show the scholars gratitude to their benefactors as the
Office of Students’ Scholarships (OSS) honors benefactors them in the 7th
Benefactors’ Day held at BuLSU Activity center, December 9.

With
the growing population of Bulacan State University (BulSU), benefactors, from
the public and private sectors, who give financial support to the deserving
students, increases from last years’ 82 sponsors to 96 this year producing 6100
scholars excluding those who are supported by the university.
Twenty
five percent (25)% of the benefactors came from the public sector and 75% were
from the private company and individuals.
“
Scholars who are supported by these benefactors will transfer their commitment
to other students who will develop as good citizens. For the benefactors I
salute you for what you are doing.” said Dr. Virginia Akiate, Director IV of
Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region III.
Scholars
from different colleges and campuses gathers together to personally honor their
sponsors, some gave their Christmas cards to show how much they appreciated the
help from their respective benefactors.
“Yung responsibility namin bilang mga scholars
nila hindi natatapos sa pagbibigay nila sa amin ng pang tuition. This event
gives us a chance to give them back what they deserve for us and that is a lot
of thank you.” Said Maruilson Ventura, BSED 2C
Akiate,
who once had been a scholar during her high school and college years, said that
the university must continue the commitment of academic excellence and
enhancing the social responsibility to its students, who help and develop the
